Hi, I’m Cat.

I'm a Graduate Sport Rehabilitator, APPI Pilates and yoga instructor. I am a lifelong lover of movement — and the person behind ROOTED.

Born and raised on the Yorkshire Wolds near Malton and recently relocated to Rutland. I've always being very active. Running, walking and keeping fit have been a huge part of my life (alongside being a dog mum to two gorgeous- slightly crazy terriers).

For the past 10 years, I've worked for the Injured Jockeys Fund at its state-of-the-art rehabilitation centre in Malton, specialising in treating musculoskeletal injuries and supporting current and retired jockeys, as well as their families, through injury rehabilitation.

My work has given me a deep understanding of how differently our bodies move, recover and respond to exercise. I have also taught a wide range of classes to all age groups from yoga, mat and seated Pilates, mobility, chair fitness and HIIT and love to see how much of an impact this can make on physical and mental health.

Why ROOTED.

Rooted began with a simple belief: movement should help you feel stronger, more confident and more at home in your body. After more than a decade working in injury rehabilitation and teaching movement in many different forms, I wanted to create something that brought that experience into warm, inclusive classes where everyone feels supported to move in a way that works for them.

Movement for every body

Whether you're taking your first steps into exercise or looking for your next challenge, Rooted gives you the space to work at your own level, build confidence and make movement your own.

Experience you can trust

My background in sports rehabilitation shapes everything I teach, combining professional knowledge with a practical, supportive approach to help you move well.
